Special Olympics Active Start FUNdamentals Program
February 4 @ 2:00 pm - March 25 @ 3:30 pm
Special Olympics Manitoba offers youth programs designed to help children with an intellectual disability develop basic motor skills and sport skills through fun and positive movement experiences. Special Olympics promotes opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, enhance skills, and create friendships.
Active Start (age 2-5), along with FUNdamentals (age 6-12) is one of two initiatives developed by Special Olympics Canada for young athletes. Active Start helps children learn basic motor skills in a fun and safe environment. These skills provide support for everyday activities, as well as a base for Special Olympics sports training and competition as athletes grow older.
Please note that registration is on going with the first class being Saturday, November 5, 2022 at FUNdamental at 2 pm and Active Start at 245 pm at Abundant Life Gym.
