Baseball
Early Registration is strongly encouraged. Important that you register as early as possible. This gives us information to know if we have enough players to make a team and then to find a head coach for the age group. It also helps if we have to join with another community if we have too few players. GMB needs to report back to the league with an estimate of teams by March 23. Late registrations will only be accepted after March 30 if there is room on the roster or if there is enough players that we have a team. In the case of not enough players then Grunthal team may join with another community and play out of Grunthal OR play out of a different community where there is a team and room. The earlier GMB knows player interest, then better for planning to set up a coaching team and keep the players in Grunthal.
Registration - Deadline March 23 rd
(Only for Rally Cap, Grand slam and 11U)
GMB will be having on-line registration only. Baseball Manitoba requires that each player be registered on-line so this is the logical way to go.
All questions can be directed to Donna – mdreutter@gmail.com
Payments can be either e-transfer sent to – grunthalminorbaseballtreasurer@gmail.com
or by cheque. Make payable to Grunthal Minor Baseball. Mail to GMB Box 1326, Grunthal. No postdated cheques and payment is due soon after you register.
Volunteering & Fees
Along with the fees listed below for each age group, there is a volunteer fee of $50 per family. You can pay this in an etransfer to GMB at time of registration. If you are paying by cheque you can post-date the cheque to June 28. It is payable to GCCB (Grunthal Community Centennial Park Board) This fee is per family so if you have more than one child participating in baseball or softball only one payment is required. This fee can be refunded if a family chooses to do park-clean up or a parent volunteers to be coaching a team for the season.
Coaching & Umpire Opportunities
We need parents to volunteer to coach. If we do not have coaches, we cannot offer the program. Coaches do need certification and all courses are on-line. GMB is willing to pay for any coaching fee that is required to help you become certified.
Please contact me directly about coaching.
Anyone interested in becoming certified to be an umpire, please contact Donna for details. GMB is willing to pay for certification. The umpire clinic is planning to be on-line. This is for youth born 2008 and older. Adults can also get certified. Ball games of U11 and U13 will be games needing umpires and it must be certified umpires.
For details on becoming a coach, or umpire, contact Donna Reutter at (204) 434-6197 or mdreutter@gmail.com
